Your dealer is an idiot. Cut outs only void your warranty if the dealer can prove that they caused the problem. Even then, Only the repairs wouldn't be covered under warranty. It wouldn't void the whole warranty.

Not sure about cutouts for a V6 as far as sound goes, but I have DMH low profile on my car and I love them, sounds amazing. (well at least I think so, neighbors might not)
