Jim,
I have read the post and I am 100% sorry and embrassed to say the least concerning the TPMS setup and your numbing nightmare. I have done many sets of Forgelines and I was always amazed at the simplicity of the TPMS setup they provided with the wheels. When they arrived I questioned the setup and was informed that there would be no problem but I was skeptical how it was arranged knowing that 19's on Corvettes pose the same problem. Forgeline 19" Corvette Wheels have the bracket in the middle of the barrel away from the bead area and not to protrude on the inside to get knocked off. 20" Forgeline setups always have the TPMS on the outside inner lip and has never posed a problem. Why the 19's came this way I will never know. I will call Dave Shardt the owner of Forgeline Monday to discuss the problem and to come up with a solution. I do not expect you to have to go out of pocket on any of this as I will make sure of that. Regards, Perry PTS |

Perry, Thanks for stepping up. Call Scott at the Discount Tire in Wichita Falls. He is intimately familiar with my setup. I want to go with the brackets forgeline sells to make the setup reliable and not rigged the way the wheels are set up now. Dude, i know you are as frustrated as i am and feel your pain. Lets get this set up properly and start on the 18" wheels and MT drag radials next. Thanks Perry
Im sure Forgeline will set us up. The wheels and tires are truly amazing as you can see.Quote:

Bull, sorry to read about your TPMS problems. I've got the Forgeline MD3P wheels in 20" and I specified they install their TPMS bracket. Works like a charm on mine. I also made sure I ordered GM TPMS sensors, due to the apparent problems with aftermarket sensors. Are you sensors GM?
I left my stock sensors on the stock wheels which I now use for winter tires, bought new GM sensors for the Forgelines. Both sets sync up without a problem, and never drop a signal. I was actually shocked how easy it was to re-learn my winter wheels this year--took about all of 5 minutes and completed with one try. Hope yours get better.

Hi Jim,
Spoke with the owner of Forgeline and they will take care of all the problems associated with the order including the replacement of the tire. Kudos to Forgeline!!!! Regards, Perry PTS |

Jim, It appears we have made a mistake on your wheels using those Inners. We were assured by the rim manufacturer that this was a good location for the TPMS sensor and from what I understand is what most other wheel manufactures do. We only used them because we had been out our 19x7.5 Inners for a while and were not expecting any soon. Your order was running late and we opted to use a different manufacturer. Obviously that was a mistake. We will handle this any way you wish, including paying for a new tire. We can send brackets to use on your existing wheels or we can replace the entire inner rim shell if you want to send the wheels back. Feel free to call me at the numbers below if you would like to discuss it in more detail.

You will be fine! Forgeline knows exactly what is needed. Just get them to mount the brackets when you order yours.
