Thank you for filling us in. This is horrible but relieving news. Hess does not seem to be a reputable company at all. I have been calling and emailing them daily with no response in any manner.

Thanks for the understanding guys. Ya one door closes another one is supposed to open right? Ill be opening my own place soon, down in Lake Forest. Only the OC guys will know where that is. The rest of you might have to Mapquest it. Still not sure why my old username was banned. It was LTLAUDIO for a long time, then Hess RS. It wasnt a company account it was just a name I chose to represent my employer at the time. Is there a way to change the username to something generic so I can keep tabs on all my subscribed threads, and PMs? Any admins wanna help?

They can merge the two accounts even, if they wanted to that is.

So is Hess out of business completely? Their website is gone as well as members that can't get ahold of them by phone or email.

Damn, sorry to hear all this. I've been following the thread for a looong time with intent to make this my first upgrade. I've been following the 5th Gen since 2007 and am finally about to drop an order, only to hear this is now cancelled. Despite that, the worst part is what's gone on with you, Third-Gen. You've had the most passion for this all along and it's a shame what you've had to go through trying to bring the best 2Din setup to market ... Best of luck with your new shop. If I were in SoCal you'd have my business.

The update is a hard thing to hear.
I appreciate the sacrifices "Third-Gen" put into this project. I understand the project did not succeed but the project and prototype was more than a success. Find pride in that.

I'm pretty sure since that account was linked with Hess, it's shut down for good. I know what you mean about keeping all of your info, etc. But, ... we as Mods can't change usernames and that would have to be up to Tran. I don't think Tran is going to reactivate an account that has all the Hess info, etc which is what seems to be a problem (not you...Hess). I'd suggest keeping what you have now and building it back up.

Just remember that it's member status as for now. Like Chris said, as long as there's no deals to be made in PM's or selling w/out sponsorship, the account will be fine.

Tag, the main thing I wanted was my subscribed threads. I dont need any of the PM's, since most of the related to the DD kit, and a few about the door projectors. I am still working with a company to see if I can push these things through, but like I said its a long shot.
