Not everyone was happy that the Beatles invaded America. Circa 1964:

Q:
"In Detroit Michigan, they're handing out car stickers saying, 'Stamp
Out The Beatles.'"

PAUL: "Yeah well... first of all, we're bringing out a Stamp Out Detroit campaign."

Well..... I'm one of those "youngins" you all are making fun of heheh, I had to google him. I'm not a beetles fan, sorry. Much respect for him now that I know though. And I try as hard as possible to ignore the existence of bieber... or as I refer to him, "He who shall not be named".

Umm no. He still releases music and plays in mainstream concerts today. He is arguably the most visible and well known member of the most commercially successful band of all time. Heck if you just pick up a newspaper or one of the star rags he is in it all the time.

Every single person who said "who is Paul McCartney" should have their humanity revoked and get sent out of the gene pool.

I don't read newspapers, and I sure as hell don't read "star rags" because I couldn't care less about which celebrity is doing what this week. Also, I listen to mostly rock music and the wife listens to country, not pop stuff. I don't go around getting pissed off because people don't know who James Hetfield or Steven Tyler is.... Just sayin'

Ummm...yeah, thankfully you don't keep track of them otherwise you would have named 3 or 4 of them. Oh, wait.....

I get my news via websites. You can call them "electronic newspapers" if that helps. And how many times has Paul McCartney been mentioned in my local news paper over the last 10 years? Unless he came into town himself, I'm going to bet not very many.

If you want to get all technical then we can. I don't read the newspaper either but he is on the front page of news websites often. I don't read star rags either, but they are all over the place at the supermarket. I could care less about any of these people that are on the covers of these things but they are there.

James Hetfield while great isn't Paul McCartney and doesn't have the mass appeal, and I would not be surprised if people didn't know who he is. Its impossible not to know who Steven Tyler is these days because of American Idol. Hes another one though, his music DOES have mass appeal and even before American idol he was often in the news "media" (FTFY).

And I'm not pissed off, I'm dissapointed in the stupidity of these people.

in 2012 you have to act and LOOK LIKE TRASH to be a SUCCESS.

I'M GLAD they have on clue who "Paul McCartney" is. Hope they never do.

I DONT RECALL SIR PAUL WALKING AROUND with his pants dragging on the ground and his underpants exposed. Also he makes SOUNDS from his mouth that resemble musical notes.

he is not rapping about his HOE'S AND HIS BLING....AND HIS CRIB...AND grabbing his ding dong

Who is this OLD GUY NAMED SIR PAUL....HE IS SO WEIRD LOL

Neither of those artists would have a career were it not for the Beatles... just sayin'. They weren't just musicians. They literally changed the world.
