[Northeast Rod Run]

Hey club members, I just got off the phone with Jeff , He's the one that puts together the Windmill show in Penn Yan ,

So he wanted to let our club know about the North East Hot Rod Run , If any of you know about the Hot Rod Power Tour , this is sorta like it But on the east Coast. And to linvite any of us that would like to join in the run this year . They will be starting at Lake George this year And making thier way down to stay the night in Geneva NY and they have the Watkins Race Track set up for Laps also , then go down through PA to West Point .. This is in the rough as of right now I don't have all the info , The dates are Oct.4th . Like that weekend , So more or less they were letting us know and if any of us want to join in on the run we can. You can jump in any where anytime & do the same if you want to jump out ,, Thier are no REG. fees no rules ,, Just a crise and stops to meet & greet along the way ..So when I get more info on this I will LYK and post it , as in times and places they will be going through .. And if any of us want to get together we can set it up , Sounds like a fun event.. So I'll keep you posted ...

The Trip will officially kickoff on Wednesday October 3rd, but for those of us cruising in from the east I am adding an extra day if you don't want to have to get up at the crack of ass on Wednesday morning to make it out to Lake Geroge. Plenty of time for things to change but here is the rough draft

Tuesday Oct, 2 - Meet up at Mt. Wachusett in Princeton, MA. Take a slow cruise west down rural Route 2 into New York. Probably make a midday stop at the Saratoga Auto Museum. Arrive in Lake George and take a drive up Prospect Mountain. Fort William Henry Museum is also right there

Wednesday Oct, 3 - Cruise through the Adirondacks up to the Thousand Islands Region at the Canadian border.

Thursday Oct, 4 - Follow the eastern shores of Lake Ontario to New York's Finger Lakes Region

Friday Oct, 5 - Drive "Thunder Road" at Watkins Glen

Saturday, Oct 6 - Maybe end the day in the West Point area after cruising up Perkins Memorial Drive at Bear Mountain

Sunday, Oct 7 - Everyone heads home

Hey guys, I usually only post in the New England section each year, but a few days ago I did start a thread in the general NY/NJ/PA section of the forum on here since we are going to be spending a lot of time in NY and PA

As figjam has said, there are no entry fees or anything, but if you want to join us for certain activites, there is a need to pre-pay for them, but that is all listed out on NERR's forum. You can also see video links to past years trips on there and lot so fpics on our Facebook page

Don't know. I use mine to keep my front plate in... and Scott, you waited too long to order your car. Cargo nets were standard equipment on the 2010 2SS and 2LT

Cargo net mod eh? I'm going to go for a performance mod, I'm going to unscrew the wingnut on the aircleaner and flip the top over so the engine gets more air. That should be good for an extra 15 HP or so right? That always worked on the old muscle cars, lemme see what it looks like under the hood here... hey, what's this big plastic rectangle on top of my motor???

Yea, flip that over, put a cargo net in, and you've gained 40hp, you may not notice it, but it will be there.

As for speeding up the count ,,, 1 # more day down....Almost in the Twenties....

Wait ,, If you put the Cargo net in front of the raidator it will catch the bugs ,,, But will reduce HP due to wind restiction's . Sorta like internal dragggggggggggggggggggggggg......
