Scott, lets see if I can summarize (and expand) what you're saying here. Please correct me where I'm wrong.

1) GM wants to make everyone happy
2) GM regrets not being able to make everyone happy
3) It is impossible to build cars exactly according to how orders were placed
4) It is illegal build only pre-orders and not give dealers cars for their lots/showrooms
5) Strange things happen when trying to satisfy both 3 and 4
6) Allocation is the main factor which determines when someone will get their car
7) The general public will never fully understand allocation, and it will often appear random and stupid. It is not.
8) Quality is the main concern at GM.

How'd I do?

A few days ago, my dad was extremely angry about something. Angry to the point that he didn't want to talk to anyone, just went to bed. The next day, he told me that it had been a while since he had been so angry that he could feel his heart pounding through his chest.

After reading through this thread, I'm feeling that way right now. I can barely type correctly. There are a TON of negative emotions going through my head right now ranging from sadness to full blown fury, and I'm about to go to bed angry and bitter.

This is ridiculous folks. Show some respect.

I'll decline the request at the moment. Apparently, I don't understand the customers concerns, since I am not a customer at the moment. Feel free to explain things (since you are a customer) to the rest of us though because I'd like to know.

Well it should be a piece of cake after your last post since you are not an automotive expert.....

So what did Gm have to do with the Lindburg Baby Kidnapping? I did not see that on the discovery channel. Just kidding around. Point well taken and remember we are all Camaro Bretheren and will be sharing some barley pop and bbq at some rally at some point in the future. So all of us need to think before posting. Not saying that constructive critisism is not a good thing and most of what has recently been said has been in a respectful but honest manner. It is really a case of mis-information, lack of information, and unjust procedures that I have found to be the upseting part. There is no reason that production could not be limited to R6P orders until they are filled. It would just increase demand in the future by having us nuts that are emotionally tied to the Camaro driving the demand. I know that most of us preorders were under the impression that the reason you preorder is to secure your spot in the first production not second to orders after 3-16-09.
Stated not stated written non written it was implied that this was why we needed to preorder and put down deposits and buy a 36000 dollar car sight unseen. We held up our end of the bargain. Has Chevy?

BUT I would have made the "dealership" car a loaner. GM still owns this car, you can NOT sell it. Once we catch up with demand, we will turn it over to you to do with what you want.

STILL SITTING AT 3400
yeah thast owuld be the case if they had money!

I'm just going to say one thing about all this.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scott and all the other GM people stop coming here and giving us all the info.

My post was based mostly on what Scott has said lately, I wanted to make sure that I understood him correctly. On the other hand, you have repeatedly told me and others that we don't understand because we're not customers. Help us understand. Explain your side of things.
