"21in rims- Now I cant figure this one out, are they the black rims? But either way my car comes with 20" why would I pay 4k more for a inch bigger tire, i dont see a lot of people buying these. Now I can see if they went for another 500 or something, another thing is good luck finding a tire for a 21inch rim."
I think that was the whole point. So that if you needed tires or rims, you'd have to go through GM so they can have their way with you. |

You all bring up good points, I think the consesus is that teh 21in rims are going over well. But like one of you pointed out is the grouping doesnt make sense, but again saves cost. Also they are having options out there that are already on the car. For instance you get a SS then the RS package, well the SS has the painted rims and spoiler, granted they adjusted the price. Like My self I would get leather seats but dont want the heating element which probably drives the seats up double. And the Mirror crap dont want it and will be useless but the steering wheel controls will be cool. So I i just dont think GM did the best job possible on grouping and price. Some options are nice and are good priced. Instead of all of the nickle and dime inter ops i would have like to see some more performance options. exahust, super charger, etc. I mean a muscle car is about power not about all these girlie interior options.

Myself this will be my daily driver. I can't afford to spend money on this car for driving only 8 months a year. Idealy I would agree with some of the points made. But not everyone is in the same situation as you that won't make use of the heated options.

Just because you don't have the car you want at the price your willing to pay does not make it a universal problem. God I want everyone to be happy with this car but their always be things that you can do without that you did not want to pay for. Not everyone's income and financial stability is the same for all I know your loaded and just don't like throwing money away. I personally think GM should of matched the Mustangs price across the board so their would be no price comparison argument. That would of meant an average savings of 2 thousand dollars of the current price. I can argue your point on some features that I don't need or want myself but realize the rules of the game all have already been laid out years ago for various reasons some of those I posted in my previous post. This is nothing new as far as limiting options and choices and has been going on in the car world for over 30 years. Try to enjoy your options and choices I know I will. PS about 2 years ago GM had a survey for the Camaro loyalists and fans and they dealt with all the options and choices . Thousands voted on it so what you have with the current Camaro is essentially the peoples choice on what they wanted to see and what they would pay for. |

i can agree with driving a camaro in the rain i will. Im talking the the SS and i guess the LT now in the SNOW. Im sorry if you can do it your are the man. But you are taking your life at risk and will take 15mins to go a mile. Ive had a 86 Trans am which i drove in the snow, didnt work well and that only had a 305 never did it again. Now I have a 2000 WS6 Trans Am, havent driven in snow, but have in rain and I dont see how it could be effective in snow. So unless your puting on skinnier wheels and adding weight that SS is going nowhere. And its not so much me my self would be scared its just not really plausible to drive a sports car in a foot of snow. Now maybe you live somewhere where you get some flurries, but thats not snow. Snow is multiple inches at one time.

some of us old guys with stiff joints enjoy heated seats even in summer time. the body grows old but the love for the camaro never does.

I think having the V8 is a waste unless you are going to the track. That's why I ordered the 2LT RS. I like all of the options, the only exception would be the XM. I would rather have Sirius but even the XM is nice. I drove the LT and it had plenty of get-up-n-go. When you look at it is as quick as most older muscle cars. To each their own.
