Exposed CF hood being delivered?
Read a bad news item this morning that said the orders with B92 option, exposed cf hood insert, will be delivered with a painted one and the $600 cost will be credited back. Any confirmation or denial of this out there?
My peer just went 2000 Saturday. I'm sitting in the dealer now but they know nothing. Thanks, Stu

I think you must have misunderstood. Like goPC said the painted black is on constraint not the exposed. This was in a post quite awhile back and everybody that had ordered the B92 option (ECF) got refunded the $600.

i dont understand. ECF is $600 extra. How can i get refunded if I get the extra cost option delivered?
I'm not too worried. Dealer said they would do whatever they could to make it right if it came in with the stock (painted) hood & I had to get the ECF after. Thanks guys

All 2012 ZL1's will come with the Exposed Carbon Fiber whether you ordered it or not . .
The cars that ORDERED the ECF will receive a $600 credit on the car . . |

Mine was ordered with the black insert and just got built Friday #708 and it was built with the black insert. I think the constraint is on the black insert for the last DOSP.

I ordered the painted insert with the black stripe. My dealer called me on friday and told me my order was picked up with the painted insert. I asked him if he was sure because I read that the painted was on constraint and he told me nothing had to be changed. I checked my order on GM connects last friday after my status went to 2000 and noticed the code to have the stripe installed was removed. So I had someone else check my order and they confirmed that the exposed cf was on my order. So my dealer lied to me and I expect them to make it right. I email him today and told them that they can order the stripe and painted insert once they become available in the parts system and install them on their dime. I'm not blaming them for the constraint as they have nothing to do with it, I'm just upset that they lied to me about it.
