Shipping Issues
Ok so I'm now the proud owner of a ZL1 (#202 aka The Flying Coffin). Problem is it's paid for and sitting down in Austin, TX.
First I put a deposit down with Montway. They lowballed the shipping costs and I cancelled with them and now I'm in a battle for a deposit back and they just threatened to sue me because I gave them a bad review and copied contents of our email exchange as proof. Sigh Anyway now I'm with another shipping company and I keep getting promised that the car will be shipped soon and it's been a week. The route is really easy, I-35 to I-80 all interstate. I know it's not the most travelled route, but I'm getting really impatient and the communication has been less than responsive. Any suggestions on what I can do speed up the process other than flying down and getting it myself and putting 1000k miles on the new beast? |

If I could go get mine, I would in a heart beat. Mine is locked up in a train yard 30 minutes away and there is nothing I can do about it.

That sucks man . I am on the loading / unloading yard for CSX in Jupiter FL all the time when the new cars come in on the rails , I get to see them ( sometimes drive ) before they get to the dealers or their final destination . Both Chevy and Fords .

That would be a cool job ... Mine is sitting in the CSX yard just outside of the Tampa Airport in Drew, Fl. It just got there this afternoon, and I don't know if it is even unloaded yet. It may be Mon or Tue before a hauler brings it across the Bay to St. Pete ... Update: Just called the CSX line, and it says the car is empty and has been returned to the customer. Just waiting on transport now ...
