No. All headers technically have a 3" outlet at the collector. It is the high flow cats/off-road pipes that connect your headers to the rest of your exhaust that have different size outlets.

Since the headers in the link you sent state that they connect to the factory h-pipe, they have connecting pipes with a 2.5" outlet which doesn't sound like what you want.

When you buy headers, make sure the connecting pipes say 3" outlet.

Not all headers are 3" out. Even our DT 1 3/4" and 1 7/8" retain a 2.5" collector.

They were tested in both 2.5" and 3" and the smaller helped to make a hair more torque so they left em as 2.5" collectors.

Do you or are you planning on getting a 3" catback?

We have multiple options for both configurations. Be glad to help as we are SLP dealers as well!

Taken from the link the OP posted:

SLP's new 2010-12 V8 Camaro 4-into-1 Long-Tube Header System features equal-length 1-3/4" main primaries flowing into 3" high flow collectors. The headers are mandrel bent 409 stainless steel and ceramic coated to keep heat in, exhaust velocity up, and under-hood temperatures down, while the rest of the system is made from high-quality stainless steel.

SLP 4-into-1 Camaro Long Tube Header Package features:
- 4-into-1 design w/3" collectors, featuring 1-3/4" equal-length primaries.

Woah! I totally tried it again and got a different part number....musta been redirected to another one!

Good call! After checking it a couple times, that is the correct Pn for the 3" Collector.

Sorry Mod!

The OP needs to make clear if he's got a aftermarket 3in exhaust or OEM size 2.5in.

I have the stock 2.5 right now with a muffler delete but I am looking in the future to get the magnaflow 3" catback withe the headers so are the collectors and cats interchangeable so I could use them with stock and and 3" if I got different collectors or cats? Is this possible? Or also do I even need to change them will they work with both since they already are 3" and it also says the work with stock h pipe? I am confused

Your OEM catback along with all aftermarket catbacks begin at the end of your midpipes. LT's paired with their HFC's or offroad pipes will terminate where the catback begins. Their designed this way so you can swap either side without HAVING to change the other. For your instance, the cats or offroad pipes will have to be 2.5in on the catback side. When you change to a 3in catback, you'll have to swap out the HFC's or ORP's to be 3in on the catback side. You won't have to mess with the LT's though. That being said, you shouldn't HAVE to change to 3in unless you're going BIG cam or high HP forced induction. 2.5in is more than enough to support a lot of HP.

I know on the LS1 cars until you hit about 550whp, 2.5" was more than sufficient

I didn't even bother stepping up, I figure when I'm making those numbers(oh they day will come, hopefully next spring if all goes well this year), i'll just sale my 2.5" setup and reload

Headers that have a 3" collector will be paired with a HF cat (or off-road pipe) that is a 3" inlet and a 2.5" outlet. This is so that they will fit the stock cat-back which has a 2.5" inlet.

As well, most cat-backs come with a 2.5" inlet even if it is a 3" cat-back. The Magnaflow 3" cat-back is that way exactly. It has a small 2.5" inlet (for about 4") but then expands to 3". There are only a couple Header/Cat-back setups that are true 3" all the way through. Most have at least a 2.5" drop down where the HF cats and cat-back connect up. No big deal....unless you running maybe over 700 rwhp or so you'll never know/see/feel the difference.

Here is a pic of a HF cat. Notice the inlet if larger than the outlet.
