LS Trim Ring Delete

After removing the trim rings to thoroughly clean the wheels I took a long look at the car. I think I prefer to roll without 'em. The wheels look less cluttered without the rings. Plus, I am kind of disappointed that they're made of plastic. My 2nd gen F bodies rings were at least made of metal.

Anyone else rollin' without their trim rings?

Sorry, what's the trim ring? That ring of grey around the outside of the steel rims? That's plastic?

Yesterday my girlfriend asked me if I could paint the rings black and the first thing I thought of was plastidip. Maybe I will give that a try.

I roll without mine, but I only use them wheels in the winter. They do look better without the trim ring, and I too was pretty amazed they were plastic.
