you can paint em with the rims still on the car, no need to take em off, just tape off the brakes with a trash bag and what nots

His are the RS rims, assuming, but mine were the 18" LT ones. Lil under 4 cans, 2 light coats, 2 heavy ones. They look good. Nice DIY mod. Hell, I NEVER mod'd any car I had before this one... Man how things changed. Post them pics, the RS ones are really sharp black. RS > LT imho :( Cheers.

Edit: That was easy....act quick...they are already black and are $300 plus shipping......

Cant :( Got my VR intake and MRT exhaust within 2 weeks... im on "expensive" mod hold for now. Gotta let em go unfortunately... Id buy em in the future, and PD them again. It was such a cool experience, Id have to imagine PDing the RS would be easier than the LT. They wanted to find silly nooks and crannies to hide in on em. Owells :(

I argue that point. I watched mine dry in between fighting the wind, general convo, and punching bugs in the face who just HAD to land on wet paint/PD.

Something like that did happen. I was spraying and a bug flew into the paint stream!

Pissed me off!

Its really nice. Cost effective. Not that bad on time. Took 5 hours to do alone. Matte black though, not glossy, so you gotta be prepared for the look. Still looks amazing though. 21$ for all 4 rims. Hell. Yes.

Looks great. FYI - the company that makes Plasti dip also makes a product called glossifier. You can lay down each coat on top of regular plasti dip and it will go from satin to high gloss!

Will it stand up to a tire change?
