How long should I wait before I start to question the dealership once I've placed my order? It's been two weeks and they still tell me they don't have an order number for me because my order hasn't been keyed in.

Would this have anything to do with allocations?

Dude, the first thing u should get after u place ur order and give a deposit is the order #!! They didnt put u in the system!! Demand a #, or get back ur deposit and go to another dealer.

(order # should be six letters)

Got my order number!! The dealership is pretty clueless when it comes to online operations it seems. Couldn't give me any more detail. Gonna get with the sales manager tomorrow and try to do a little 1 on 1 training on http://www.gmlaunches.com/.

Gonna call the 1800 line tonight and see if I can get anything from that.

That 1-866 number is rough. I more or less complained about the dealership, salesperson etc. Tried to get a date the order was placed and never got that after 25 minutes on the phone.

You should only have to give them the order # and ask them to check on the status??? not sure why you have been on the phone for 25 mins

Well granted, 5 of it was spent while they asked me if I talked to the dealer, who the dealer was, who the salesperson was who I was etc. Then they put me on hold to find out the status, waited 10 minutes. Came back, couldn't tell me anything. So I explained at least three times that I wanted to know when the order was created/accepted. Put me on hold another 10 minutes, came back with nothing except to check with the dealer.

I would go to another dealer, because if they are pulling this stuff now, think about after you do get a order #, or get your car, what kind of dealer will they be servicing your car.

I've had cars serviced there before, and it was one I purchased in Oklahoma, they were great, no hassle, even fixed some stuff for free.

The sales team, however, hmm.. but I did manage to get my order number after I was kinda a pain on the phone, I'm at least happy about that but frustrated by the seeming lack of ability on their staff.
