So I found an IBM 2SS/RS at a dealership... I can haz upgrade?!

After a road trip with someone who has a pretty awesome 2SS/RS, I really started to see things differently. He and I stopped by an OKC dealership, and among the two dozen Camaros they had (including a ZL575 ) we spotted a little IBM beauty-- a 2012 2SS/RS. It's gotta be one of the last ones made! After ogling it for some time, it didn't take me long to realize what I was missing-- I mean, it's SUCH a huge difference between the V6 and the V8. Seriously. You just can't even compare the two; the V6 is *so* inferior.

So it took very little prodding from my male companion to get me to sign the paperwork, and I'm now the owner of an AH-MAZING car, instead of my poor old dog turd of a V6. I'm not concerned at all about the huge money I'm losing with all of my mods, or the big hit I took in depreciation on a car less than a year old. Or the fact that my daily commute is 80 miles, and gas prices suck... It's ALL WORTH IT!!!!! Especially since I got SUCH a good deal on the car. It was only $39,550!!! So with tag, tax, etc, it was about $43k. Talk about an AMAZING DEAL-- Of COURSE I paid asking price!

For real though... if someone is looking for an IBM 2SS/RS, Marc Heitz in Norman has one....

I'm just not looking for one.

congrats on your upside-down trade. So long as you're happy and you're broke, it doesn't matter(to me anyway..)

This ugly steering wheel is seriously bothering me.

I wonder if I can go trade this back, for my V6. Think I'll get a decent trade?

I do like the SS fascia, but not enough to swap out. I thought about the ZL1 fascia for a minute but then you get the people who say I'm trying to imitate something I'm not, and I don't really want to listen to that. I may matte black vinyl under the lower grille, but I'm pretty happy with the way my car looks as-is.

As far as turbos-- maybe once I have my 50th anniversary Z/28... this car will be my daily driver for some time.

Not sure if you're serious or not. Did you honestly get it or pulling everyone's chain?
