Yesterday I had to stop in at a local car rental office for some routine business. As I was pulling into the parking lot, I could see a guy heading out of the parking lot, in a rental Charger. He looked at the BlTCHlN' Camaro pulling in, and he got the dreamy/ jaw drop/ admiring look... as fellow fifth gen pilots, you are all familiar with this look. No biggie... see it all the time, but never get tired of it.

So, I continued through the lot, parked in front of the office. As I stepped out of the car, I heard an engine rev, then a little chirp of tires. I looked over to see the dude backing up at high speed, headed in my direction.

He screeches to a stop next to me, rolls down the window. "Excuse me... is that a rental, or is that your personal car?" he asked.

Took me a second to figure out what/ why he was asking. I said, "Ah... sorry, this one's mine..." (another thing I never get tired of).

He said, "Dang! I was hoping that was a rental, because if you were turning that one in, I'd be back in the office in a hot second trading this one for THAT one!"

Cool story

an older v6 mustang drove around the parking lot several times the other day to look at mine. He was in awe of the transformer package and little stuff like the trunk black out. My girl was like "do people normally come up and admire your car like that?" me: not as much as they use too but its the best feeling every time
