My cars "celebrity" treatment

I've only had my camaro for a week now and today she got her first "celebrity" treatment. Since I went with the Rally yellow and black Striped camaro I get a lot that it looks like Bumblebee from the transformers movies. No big deal, living in a small town with the ONLY camaro around is kind of nice and all the attention it attracts is new to me. Today on two sepreate occasions I had people come up to me asking to take pictures of or with my Camaro. The kids especially were very excited to see the "real" bumblebee. It was kind of nice to see that kind of attention drawn to my car.

Anyways, that's just my expirience and thought i'd share.
If anyone esle has any similar stories i'd be more than happy than to read about it. Thanks for stopping by!

When we picked our car up in '09, it got more attention than a Ferrari.

Yeah... endless attention! One almost gets used to it, but that sounds bad... because one NEVER gets tired of it. I get thumbs- ups at traffic signals, people approach and want to compliment the car at almost every gas station stop, kids are always talking to Bumblebee, and a few days ago, some kids in town posted pictures of this "awesome car" they saw driving around (my teenage daughter stumbled across the pic online, and was quite pleased that the "awesome car" is our very own!). When I'm out front washing and waxing, people driving by stop frequently, and just want to talk about it. I may have converted a guy from blue oval to bowtie a few days ago... he may switch teams. I pulled into a car rental place a few days ago for some business, and a guy who had just rented a Charger tore through the parking lot, hoping that my Camaro was a rental return... he wanted to immediately trade his rental for the Camaro (and was understandably disappointed to learn that this one ain't for rent...!).

Yep... plan on getting a lot of attention! Welcome to the Camaro lifestyle!

I get to see people taking pictures of my car at my job all the time. Some of the stories are real funny. It's all been harmless though, at worst a hand on the car for the picture. I just take it as a compliment and smile knowing people admire the work I've done to my car.

It's like living with a rock star, except quieter. I still get lots of thumbsups and oglers when it's parked at my work. Enjoy your notoriety!

Third that. Been on dates when my date has come up to me and said there are people taking pics w/ mine in the parking lot. Never gets old, hope it stays that way.

Thats a great story.

There is a day care center next to my office. When it's time to go home and the weather nice, the kids are out plalying in the playgroud area which is adjacent to our office's driveway. From the time I walk out to the car, I hear things like "That's the guy that ownes Bumble Bee. By the time I get in the car and drive past the day care play ground, all of the kids are on the fence waiving to the car. "Hi Bumble Bee and honk BB" are the cute comments I get to hear from them.

Yeah, It's still pretty cool even if its from the kids

My car rarely rarely gets a second look where I live. Probably because there are so many here =/

My bright blue vette would always draw attention. People often took pictures of it driving by or parked in a lot at a restaurant. Now, I get no love with the Camaro. I'm just another face in the crowd. :(
