I Agee with everybody here. Get the ZL1, it's a once in a lifetime experience. I absolutely love and am infatuated with my SS, BUT I would eat somebody's face for a ZL1!

What about the ZL1 makes you want to upgrade? I am being serious and dont need any SA remarks. This is important...is it power, is it prestige of the ZL1. You can keep your transformers edition and heavily modifiy it and have the satisfaction of knowing yours is unique. It wont be a ZL1 per say but it will still be fun as hell to drive. Do what you can afford and what you believe. Don't let anyone else make the decision for you.

I have a 20102SS/RS and trading it in for the ZL1. If you can afford it, go for it.
Picking mine up on Friday.
ZL1 all the way.

Awesome! What intrigued you more about the ZL1 than the others? Please share your story!

If it's in your budget keep the Bee and get the Z and have one of each.

I am a new member as well. I was planning on waiting until next year for a ZL1, but the bug bit me hard....the last Camaro I ever drove was a 25th Anniversary and that was a friends car. I test drove two different 5th gen SS's: a 2011 and a 2012. Great cars, both of them, but I wanted to see what the ZL1 could do myself before deciding. Then my dealer got a ZL1 in and I took it for a test drive and I was sold. You can always make a car go faster in a straight line, but amazing all-around performance costs a pretty penny even if you can wrench it yourself. If you go ZL1, you will never regret it...

Gonna be an odd man out here and say keep the transformers. I would say take the difference in money and mod what you want on your camaro, make it yours.

I understand the appeal of the ZL1...for me it is not the looks, just the power, but I also like to see all these tastefully modded camaros out there and the difference amongst them. Not saying you can't do that with a ZL1.....I just think it might be, how would you say, a lot more expensive.

Is yours auto or man? Mine was 61K out the door and the only options that I got are the suede and the black stripes. Yours must be auto or they charge more on the taxes? But to the OP, go for the ZL1 you will not miss the TF. I had a 2010SS with bolt ons and some suspension parts and the ZL1 is waaaay better. I only have 500 miles on her now and I am staying with in the breakin specs and I can already tell how amazing this car is. Go for it if you can it is well worth it.

For what its worth, I own both and drive both regularly. The ZL1 is in a class all by itself when it comes to Camaro's. Its not even close how much better it feels. The garage was too small so I had to let go of my Z06, and at first I missed it. However with the mods in place, my ZL1 outperforms my 08 Z06 and I have the creature comforts the Z06 lacked. Not too mention the MR suspension and everything else that makes this car so special....Get the ZL1. You will not regret it.

Before someone asks, the SS was a gift to my wife in 09, so there was no getting rid of that one..and try as I might, she is not agreeing with the idea that she needs a white ZL1 but I keep trying...
