Just remember, it depends on the parasetic loss they have programed into the dyno. I own a Mustang MD250 dyno and we did mine last week. I had 439 with our regular number in the computer and then just for kicks I changed the number and it went to 460. I can make it read more if I want, no problem. I have a manual.

I am curious about the dynos themselves.... how often or frequently they are "certified accurate". They must also have a wear factor too.

this was on borlas dynojet 500hp. I did 512 HP on haddadmotorsports dyno. Car is still not past the break in period.Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Right, and I'll add...
Manual Trans: 4th gear = 1.0 FD = 3.72 4th x FD = 3.72 Auto: 4th gear = 1.15 FD = 3.23 4th x FD = 3.7145 So, regardless of manual or automatic, final gear ratio is 3.71-3.72. Basically his dyno chart calculations are correct. If you recalculate it with auto trasmission gear ratio and final drive, the difference is less than 1 hp. |
