Thanks for the kind words but, as may you know, I could never sell or trade my '69 Z28. Far too many memories. I do think the Boss is a very nice car, however, in fact, I prefer it to the GT500, but I'm sure you understand that I can't foresake one of my early loves.

My point, which you obviously failed to understand, is that Inside Line would most certainly be sued if they made libelous comments about the gt500. So why doesn't ford respond or sue them if its so obviously a lie? The answer is that it's not a lie. You are in denial and simply can't accept that your favorite car came in 2nd place to the zl1. Actually it's about 225 lbs weight difference, but I bet you'll respond, "LMFAO!!! 75lbs big deal!!!! Nothing can beat the gt500!!!" We've already seen that the weight difference isn't a benefit to the gt500. And yes, the zl1 could most certainly pull 1-2 seconds away on the corners. That's one of the main purposes of focusing on suspension and handling when building a car. |

The boss was dominated there. And it was virtually all in the corners not the straights. Even though the zl1 dominated in the corners, you're going to mumble something about heat soak. And even though the 302 has inferior brakes, you going to mention how important brake fade will become. |

Yeah I saw that earlier. It's funny how the ford owners here latch on to stuff like this, but then when something such as the h2h boss vs. zl1 they forget about.
I mean think about it. What has been the main response from the ford camp since the inside line review? "We need same driver, same track, same conditions review on a real track by a professional driver." Which is how the original boss vs. zl1 comparison was done. But that's not what we have here is it? Yet, the ford guys etch it into a plaque and whip it out as if it is the ultimate comparison. Edit: I'm not saying the post is dishonest, but I do have a question that nags me. If the boss LS guy was his first time at a track, then what was he doing in racing slicks? This means he brought an extra set of rims I guess or he trailered his car. It's just a little odd to me. I mean, he obviously came prepared like he knew what he was doing. Or maybe the boss LS guy was not his first time to track. It's not clear who he's talking about. You're in denial because you think inside line has lied, yet you even admit you have no proof! OK, then enlighten us with your car wisdom. Where will the weight difference help? Acceleration? Yes, we know this. Braking? Doesn't look like it. gt500 doesn't have brake ducts or 2-piece rotors. I'm not saying the zl1 will be superior here. The gt500 has slightly larger front rotors, and less weight. I'm saying neither car will gain a significant advantage with the brakes. Handling? No. OK, 3 seconds or more. I might agree with you on that.

HpJunkie, I hereby officially dub you "Ford Fanboy HpJunkie"! And you get 0 points for reading comprehension since I already said the zl1 dominated in the corners not the straights. |

What I got out of the reveiw, GT500 is faster and the Zl1 handles better. Was anyone really suprised at the result? Now stop all the bickering and go buy the car you want.

We should know in about week which car handles better. Both cars are at LSeca right now. The inside line review is a waste. Shelby is Z06 fast and the ZL1 inspires confindence. Not alot more can be assumed from the article they didnt track the cars. Now when Motor Trend lists the time for both of these cars around Laguna same day somebody is gonna eat crow. If its the ZL1 then we are looking at mass depression in here and if it's the Shelby with the slower time the ford guys are gonna have to finally cut the Z some respect as an auto X car. Soon this will be put to rest.
