What is this "growing up" you speak of? I know I am "growing out" these days, but my height has pretty much stabilized. So growing in height has not changed in 30 years (or so ). Up where exactly?

Does anyone else think it's beyond time for Chevrolet to stop teasing us and finally produce a vehicle that produces the type of Trans-Am performance, and evokes the emotions and feelings, that this vehicle produced when it was new? If so, we need to let Chevrolet know that there is a significant market for such a vehicle.

I know I'm ready for it. I know we can't go back to 1969 when the chicks were hot and the the cars were cool, but hey, we can dream can't we?

The new ZL1 is awesome, and I've got mine on order, but, I think, we need a Z28 to complete the stable.

If they build it, I will come. I think many others feel the same.

The problem with "growing out" is that for every 20#'s of body weight gained, you lose ONE INCH of ....... "other size"..... According to Dr. Oz!

The new ATS Caddy should come in with a curb weight of 3,400. Mr. Reuss has promised that will be the case. When they do the V version I expect the weight to go up to 3,550. The current CTS-V is 4,200.

SS 3849 ZL1 4120 ZR1 3,400 Z06 3,175

There is a 720 pound difference between the ZR1 and ZL1 and 650 pounds SS to Z06. This tells me that the new Vette will come in at a ridiculously low curb weight of 2,900 or less! With a Vette under 3,000 we can look for a 6th Gen that will be 4 to 500 pounds heavier. Camaro lovers will have a Camaro capable of of doing exactly what you are asking for. Yo can call it a Z/28 or IROC or Joe. It won't matter because it will be FAST.

Before we get too excited, the Mustang will be downsized as will most other cars. The key is that GM has several versions of IRS vehicles that all perform exceptionally well. That knowledge base from design to manufacture to real world use will serve them well and place them with an advantage over Ford and many other companies.

Mr. #3, anything you care to add to this?

Well that did it... I had a 70 Firebird Formula 400 (kept it for 20 years) and my buddy had the exact car you pictured, except he had a 327 in it.

Boy did we have fun w/ those cars...
