Theres another thread in this forum titled Service Stabilitrack light came on today. So, you're not alone. You'd think with all the track testing GM would have caught this.

Not sure whether this will help because I don't know if your service stabilitrak warning came on and stayed.

I was having a similar problem and I was seeing the "Service Stabilitrak" message on my DIC on a regular basis at start up but it never stayed on very long. So I started a thread on another site and found out many other people had the same complaint so here's the info that helped me solve the problem...

A 2010-11 Camaro may have an intermittent Service StabiliTrak message in the Driver Information Center (DIC) only at startup, and then the message will disappear within seconds of starting the engine. This message is displayed during the bulb check of the other instrument cluster indicators. This message will not remain on and no DTCs will be stored in the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).

This condition will occur only under specific sequences of ignition switch operation. For instance, the driver may quickly flick and release the ignition switch during Start/Crank mode. After the ignition switch is released and the engine starts, the DIC Service StabiliTrak message may then be displayed. The condition may not occur each time this ignition switch sequence is performed.

If no EBCM DTCs are stored and the Service StabiliTrak message is displayed only at startup for a few seconds, then no repairs should be performed.

Engineering has identified the condition and has verified it is normal under this specific ignition switch sequence of operation. A revised calibration is available in TIS2Web. No parts should be changed to resolve this concern.
And here's my final post on the thread...

Since reading this I have slowed down and been very careful when I turn the key and I haven't seen the message since. So I'm not worried at all anymore...problem solved.
While many dealership service departments are replacing sensors for this complaint...it is absolutely not necessary unless the service stabilitrak warning comes on and stays on in the DIC.

They intentionally programmed it this way as this is part of what the PTM system does. Protects an inexperienced driver. In PTM 1-3 the StabiliTrak is still turned on so if you take your car out on a track with a high inclination its going engage the protection system and set a code. In PTM 4-5 or "off" there won't be an issue.

On page 9-35 in your owner's manual it states:

StabiliTrak® System
The vehicle has an electronic stability control system called StabiliTrak. It is an advanced computer controlled system that assists with directional control of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions. StabiliTrak activates when the computer senses a discrepancy between the intended path and the direction the vehicle is actually traveling. StabiliTrak selectively applies braking pressure at any one of the vehicle's brakes to help steer the vehicle in the direction which you are steering.

If there is a problem detected with StabiliTrak, a SERVICE STABILITRAK message displays on the DIC and the StabiliTrak/TCS warning light on the instrument panel cluster comes on. When this message and warning light display, the system is not operational. Driving should be adjusted accordingly.

I hope this information was helpful!

There are plenty of posts about this message.

No, this wasn't helpful. There is a PIC that the dealership should do a diagnostic on the EBCM. The PIC # is #PIC5432A: Service Stabilitrak Message Displayed At Startup - (Apr 28, 2011). I am at work and unable to load the doc, but you should be able to do a search on this in google or any other search engine.

I dont condsider driving around a 2mile oval dificult driving conditions At 65 mile an hour. Two of five zl1 had this same problem so why didnt all five encounter the service Stabilitrack message. I simple took the car in and had the code cleared. SO please explain why this happens on only two cars and not all they were parade laps for god sakes under ideal conditions except fot the 103 deg temps

OP, I was the other one at MIS that set the light. Did you have PTM activated? I did. I cleared the code myself. No biggie. I'm sure it was the 18 degree banking. That was not a normal track occurence. These cars really aren't meant for high banked super speedways.
