Back in the day a cousin paid for his brand spanking new '67 Impala in coins (rolled in the wrappers). Took the dealer's staff the better of a day to verify that the amount was correct before he released the car.

Putting down $12,000. Only thing tolerable about waiting so long is being able to save money to put down. Went online tonight to check my credit score and was happy with the results so I see at least a low monthly payment in the future.
