Hey gang
I ordered a 2LT the evening of 7-10. Since the lady that places every order had already gone home, the order was supposed to be placed first thing the next morning. I asked for the order # and was given a 6 digit #. I've tried tracking it every day & still get nothing. I called the dealership yesterday & was told that since the dealership used one of its allocations, I may not be able to track this vehicle. I don't know, but doesn't a dealership have to use an allocation slot to place any order?? I did ask if the order # that I was given, matched the "orderworkbench" #. Why/how wouldn't it?? The salesman did verify that the vehicle had been ordered. I still haven't heard back from the dealership about the order # I was given :( Just brainstorming here, but even if multiple vehicles are ordered at the same time, each one would have its own unique order# right?? I was hoping that maybe some of you would be able to clarify this for me? Like most others here, I can't remember ever being this excited over getting a new vehicle ![]() ![]() It's not the end of the world if I can't track it, but it sure would be nice!! Thanks!!! |

You have two options...one is to go to GMConnects.com and enter the workbench order number. You can set this up to e-mail or text you whenever your status changes. While all of this sounds good, the actual operation isn't so smooth. For months I noticed my status only changed once a week and then when things started happening quickly for me (car built, bayed, etc). I would see nothing then two or three status updates at the same time.
Alternatively you can ping Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet in MI about your status. She is a huge contributor on this site and doesn't seem to mind the near constant pestering from several dozen people (if not more) about the status of their builds. In either case you will need your workbench order number. Good luck. I know when I ordered mine I was like an 8 year old on December 23rd. The wait will kill you but will be totally worth it when you get your car. |

Gotcha. Check with Becky (see post above) and see if she can help you out. Since I received mine a couple of weeks ago I've gone from checking every stinkin' day to never looking back. Good luck.

I'll call the dealership again & repost on the link you provided. Getting your order # shouldn't be a difficult request
