What the difference between the two intake I have a great deal on a Airaid right know thanks

The CAI system produces close to twice the gains as the Airaid in average HP and peak torque. Add a scoop to the CAI and there is no comparison.

Just look at them, ours in enclosed and insulated and has a ceramic coated intake tube for added thermal protection. The other one is open on top to suck in hot engine bay air and is pretty much like 90% of the other intakes out there. There is a reason that CAI Inc, has one of the most popular CAI's out there for the Camaro, RESULTS AND A PROVEN PRODUCT!

Cold Air Inductions is my most favorite mod so far and will be for quite some time. (until I get headers and a tune, lowering springs and sway bars, new wheels and tires, etc perhaps)

Hello Apex Chase,

I understand you like selling a particular brand, but Twice the gains..... Sorry but no intake system produces dbl the power. Anybody claiming double the power is just ridiculous.

For those that can read the Jannetty testing the AIRAID and the CAI both did very well. It really comes down to appearance, Fit & Finish, and the Warranty offered on the product.

The AIRAID does not ingest underhood air as it is enclosed when you close the hood. The AIRAID also breathes through the OEM scoop for true cold air. We utilize the hood as the seal so we can use allot larger filter with allot more surface area, which equates to more airflow, better filtration, and longer service intervals.

Yes 90% are like our's, considering we have been building Cold Air Intake Systems since 1997 and are a pioneer in the industry. We have won the PWA award 2 times in the last 6 years, recognizing AIRAID as one of the Top manufactures in the industry. See the difference between AIRAID and other brands is The Overall Quality of Components, Fit & Finish, and Performance of the AIRAID are 2nd to none.

I would have to agree with most of your post, obviously we are both going to have a different stance regarding our designs and effectiveness, which I can appreciate. As far as bashing others products, I completely agree, thats not the road we take either, we prefer to let our high quality products do the talking for us. My point to the OP was to take a look at the 2 intakes, and obviously a visual inspection to both systems would tell you the main differences. Both of our products are made with different materials, have a different design, and different features. Obviously one of the main things that seperates our product from the the majority of our competitors (hence my 90% comment) is the fact that we offer an enclosed and insulated airbox design, not considering the hood as an effective lid.

That being said, although I did find some obvious CAI Inc. fans comments above to be funny, I do believe that letting the products and consumers do the talking for a company is the way to go. And have nothing but a mutual for you and your company. Hopefully that clarifies a bit.

I was told by jannety racing of to bother with the Airaid to go with cai I have my car tuned. Y him now how much am I going to see mpg or hp from Airaid to cai

I put the Black CAI kit on last week, I am very happy with it. I do like the see thru lid. Airaid was my 2nd choice. Also my stock system completely fit in the box that the CAI kit came in. So I can store it up in the attic. Don't know if they had the box size planned that way, but I liked it.

Jannetty has a lot of customers that have them install our intakes, and from what I understand they have a great tune for it as well!

I for one did not consider the oem scoop sufficient to draw unlimited air from the outside. I have had my airbox removed and my front fascia off and the area is small and looks like a choke point. Of course I have no data to back this up but I am comfortable that MY intake has 100% unrestricted airflow and all from the outside of the engine compartment. jmo.
