It would allow for more time on the track, and everything won't be rushed. The more days we can split the autocross up on, the smaller each session would be, so, the more frequent the runs are on the course for each person.

You would have some seriously dead days. As it is no matter where it is held you got people driving 1,000 miles or more one way. Lots of people left on monday & tuesday to get there. How many people would really take more than a week off to attend any Camaro event? You would have spouses screaming mad, angry and grumpy kids and general boredom. Not to mention even more time away from business for the vendors.

Needs to stay a 3 day event.

It hasn't been in the Southeast again since the first one. Put it back there so I can finally go, lol.

Having worked with IMS in a LEO capacity, helping to get their fans in and out of the facility and having a good friend of mine being the Chief Security Coordinator for the Indy Racing League and IMS, I think we could have gotten it done, some way, some how.
IMS has been pretty good to Chevrolet over the past three years with its embracing of the Camaro's and Corvettes.

I understand that nobody has an answer to the threads question yet, but can a mod explain the timetable at least? I'm not asking for an answer, just a general idea of when I should start paying attention to this thread again

No worries on missing out on the next fest location. we try to get it out there loud and clear with no less than 6 months heads up. We prefer to announce 9 months out. however we are in a big hurry to announce the next fest. And have already begun discussing it with some tracks. FWIW.
