Is the ever "evolving" 911 a smart business plan? Would it be a wise move for the Camaro?

Many of us have seen this story before as the Golden Age of Muscle Cars turned into the 174 FWHP Vette. At the time, they told us we would never see cars like that again. They were right. We saw them improve dramatically and exceed our wildest dreams. Technology was the answer then and will be the answer again.

To answer a rhetorical question posed by #3 -- Profit. A charity cannot function unless it turns a profit. It takes money to deliver food or services. A church cannot function if it fails to turn a profit. It takes money to turn on the lights. A company cannot function if it fails to runs a profit. GM must turn HUGE profits to be in a position to design and build the best cars that deliver the greatest level of customer satisfaction then share takes care of itself.

Well, some retorts by those far wiser than I give me optomism...and a feeling things will be much rosier going forward. I'll side with that camp until then...and be like the ant trying to move the rubber tree plant.

There you go!!!!! OldSchoolOptimismCamaro

It's simple. When GM is making BIG money there is more room for things that folks like us that hang around in places like The House are hoping for.

Bigger, faster, stronger!

imagine GM building Camaros faster than the L/28 and Bruce Raymond's Camaro?

Lance Armsrong?

I guess every athlete that has had to pass drug tests now needs to make sure no one will jump and still testify they saw, heard or knew someone who saw or heard you actually did it invalidates 500 drug tests.

Not saying he didn't use PEDs. It's hard to imagine that in the hey day of doped up bike racers that he was by far the best of them all .................. and didn't use them himself.

He is not my hero by any means, but I did and still do admire what he accomplished.

But this just doesn't smell right to me. Especially when you hear that every one lined up to testify was already peanalized for doping (with the motive of "hey I'm not so bad if it turns out the best guy did too, right?") or that the other were offered deals they would only receive 6 month bans from cycling if they testified vs. the normal 2 years (sure I'll say he did it for that).

There I'm done.

We'll see how this goes. I think publicly most had already decided if they thought he did or didn't.

By the way how does this come across?

Lance Armstrong - "I am innocent but I choose not go forward with this unfair process"

USADA - "Thank you for admitting you are guilty, Mr. Armstrong. We will now strip you of all your titles"

lance armstrong (pfft)

He is the Bernard Madoff of bicycling. That he showed good performance for years based on false success is irrelevant IMHO. Win at any cost?

The tolerance of liberalism is costly. Give everybody a trophy? Glad to see a stand made and trophies taken.

It's not a political statement by the way. It's just about how much society is being conditioned to accept the unacceptable. It just felt good to see justice in this case (again, my opinion, granted).

Call me OldScool if you want! LOL ....

...haha, no, it's not <not yet at least>.... There are those lucky enough to circumvent the system. Some get caught, others stay one step ahead. Not sayin he cheated. There was enough smoke along the way to suggest that however. PED's, the best ones, are one step ahead of the science set in place to detect them. It's the same way in the MLB. One can see a certain players size and performance exceed that of what seems normal. Some are tested and fail. It's a cat and mouse game.

It says something about the system IF he was able to circumvent the system for ALL of those years. Like Number 3 said , something doesn't smell right. You could speculate what Lance is saying is that some people are just on a witch hunt might have some validity to it. And it's beyond their statute of limitations and still no hard evidence....sounds just like a lot of posturing and BS.

....all good thoughts, but why would a presumably innocent man stop proclaiming his innocence? That's out of the norm. Because he is tired of defending himself? I dunno, something isn't white in the milk as the saying goes...seems rather odd. And then summarily dismiss it all, including seven titles? Who knows for sure...only The Shadow...

One would have to wonder if an innocent man should have the need to defend himself against baseless accusations.

At some point the money runs out when defending yourself.
