Looking for some insight...auto or manual?

I like my automatic, but you can feel the restrictions that the transmission gives. If it's your daily driver go for the automatic.

Okay, there is a major con right there........HILLS!!! That is the one thing that I have to admit can suck with a manual......try getting caught in a traffic jam on a hill....where it's stop and go every 5 seconds and there is a car 4 feet behind you.......it's so scary it can be hysterical.

It is more fun to drive a manual when I'm on open road, but it sucks sitting in traffic with a stick. It's all personal preference in the way you drive, and how much traffic you plan to sit through. I picked a stick because I think it's more fun and a bit of a challenge while racing, but if you miss a gear, you lose!

Drove the auto a couple of days ago and was really wanting my wife to get a manual but she has bearly ever driven a stick. But after driving the auto I was really really impressed w the auto the paddles are great best Ive ever driven! Good luck

The auto is quicker in real life overtaking situations. Take a look at the 30-70mph numbers.

Just taught my wife to drive a stick today....on the new Camaro. It was a little tense, but she picked it up quickly. Now I'm in trouble. I'll be lucky to get to drive my car again.

I drive in the city a lot, and I'll be taking this freaking car downtown ALL the time, so the ease and smoothness of the automatic just seemed like the way to go. Manual would have been smarter and more fun. I drive my manual cars in New York City 5PM Bumper to Bumper EVERYDAY, it becomes second nature and you even forget you are doing it. All the traffic excuses are BS, people are just lazy.
