Question...

Is it possible for this system to run on a N/A motor... no boost at all

Secondly.. is it possible for this system to be retro fitted into a Challenger SRT8 (392)

The whole point is to chill the inter cooler fluid for the supercharger. No fluid to cool for N/A

I think I will just try a reservoir and possibly a bigger pump. I can install those.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your heat soak.

I assume the theory is that the post intercooler (now heated) liquid is still cooler than ambient? If not, why not have the liquid run through the h/x first, then into the chiller?

The heat exchanger cannot cool below ambient and if you ran the chilled fluid through it the temperature would be greatly increased defeating the purpose of the super chiller.

Just throw some ice and water in the reservoir, it'll be all good.

T&T in MD is a dealer and installer.

blufin, order one ahead of time and we will install ir while you wait since your only a few hours drive to the shop.

NA IAT temps usually dont climb high enough to really benefit from this, but we do liquid to air intercoolers for the turbo applications so you could do the same.

Anytime air is compressed (FI) you generate a great amount of heat....that is why we see IAT temos go 180-200-220 under full boost and the amount of HP loss can be 40-50-70 plus as the PCM pulls timing to protect the engine.

Roketrdr has a great understanding on this system and how it works...thanks!

As for capacity, yes, increased insulated capacity is a plus for stored chilled coolant, but with this sytem running, open the resivoir and put your finger in to the coolant flow and it is coming OUT of the intercooler still chilled. It works that well.

As for ice, we tried so many different things over the years on theheads up turbo/sc cars. Tank w/100-200# of ice....worked good for 1-2 runs and then we had to drain the melt water in the pits and put more ice in, and evey 100#'s is a tenth in the 1/4 mile so that slowed the car (chiller adds 12# on aveg total weight), CO2 sprayed on the HE or intercooler worked (or Nitrous) but had to fill the tank every run or 2 so reacuring consumable costs (chiller is a cost once, nothing again), and itis so convieniant to not have to do really anything other than flip the competiton mode switch when running on a track to shut off the cabin AC and any condensation water drip.

The safety of retaining the HE is real....if the AC comp would fail, it automatically defaults back to the HE as backup.

In shop, we are doing the installs for a deep discount right now...enough that it is worth the trip or ship the car, but adding more competant shops every week.

T&T and ECS in the NE and slowhawk as well.

funny you should ask as i just came back from north carolina and the humidity is way lower there than here in florida. it seems the lower the humidity the chillier the temps get. i noticed at least 5+ degrees cooler than i do when im here so id say less humidity this things works even better. my coolant lines coming out of the intercooler are actually cool to the touch as is the aluminum on the intercooler and thats just in daily mode not competitive mode. come winter i may see icecubes tumbling out behind me i really need an a-pillar gauge set-up though, with a lighted gauge.

Joe, we have a lighted digital guage now.....PM me and I can get one out to you.

All, these are selling like crazy with little wait time. The ZL1 model is what Joe has. Lead time is down to 2-3 days or less right now. Trying to keep them made up ahead of time ready to ship w/out delay.

Avg install times are 4-5 hours or less once the shop is experianced with them.

Had mine installed last week, didn't come with a gauge , their supposed to ship one out this week. I think they changed vendors. System is sweet, very clean install, can't tell what my temps are but I can tell she's breathing cooler air!

Yes we did change vendors for the LED temperature gauges as they were on backorder for way too long! The LED's are in so if we have not sent one out yet then we'll send one along ASAP.

We have more systems being assembled now, we're running 3-4 business days on lead-time currently.
