Went to my dealer and got slapped - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well I didn't really get slapped but last week my salesman called me to tell me they had a SS on there showroom floor and I decided to go check it out today.

While there I asked if I had a vin number yet and my salesman got on a computer and started searching and prints me out a paper with my vin number and tells me my car will be here next week and its on a train now.

I feel like I got !#%# slapped and now im stressed/happy. Stressed because I need to find out how im going to finance this thing in less then a week and happy well you know why im happy.

Don't be surprised if your car is another 3-4 weeks. Especially if you ordered factory installed stripes. My car was built on 5/13 (vin 09761) and it is still "waiting on a train car."

No stripes but I pray it comes later then expected it gives me more time to sell my mustang to have my complete down payment

Shouldnt you already have financing arranged or at least a good idea about that if you ordered when you did.

Well when I ordered they told me I wouldn't see the car till the end of summer.

I ordered in april and was told my car wouldn't be here until December. I didn't take any chances. I already sold my 2009 Lancer and am saving about $1300 every month for my down payment.

NOTHING WILL STOP ME!!!

Oh, what am I driving? NOTHING! I have made MANY sacrafices for this vehicle.

P.S. I HATE public transportation....*sigh*

J/k, I hope i did not offend anybody. That sure is a huge sacrifice, selling your car and all. i need to sell my tacoma as well but i don't want to sell it and then for some miracle of God, GM says, "sorry chump you aint gettin a car at all".

I was told that my car is on a train as well. It was shipped on 22 May. Should be in next week (fingers crossed). It only took a few hours to get financed. My usual bank, which normally just cuts a check for me without question, was acting all wierd, like I've never done business with them before. They actually asked me why I needed the car when I already had 3 vehicles. What the heck was that about??? Anyway, GMAC financed me at 5% quicker than crap thru a goose. Good luck!
