The Challenger weighs 4100 pounds. It's about the same weight as the 300c, and is about the same speed. Neither is a slouch.

Did he know he was racing? New r/t's are good for low 13's. Almost on par with the L99 I used to have. Maybe you ran into 05-09 r/t.

Yeah and here's his best timeslip after 12 runs tonight.... It's an '11 6-speed with electronic cutouts and Injen cai. The DA was 2316. He has owned it for over a year. The right times were his.

-I didn't run because my car is having a Clutch Masters FX300 Clutch Kit being put in.

A GenIII Hemi won this years (2012) Engine Masters Challenge in the Street Division. 675 hp from 417 cubic inches. For those who don't know how it works the contest is area under the curve, not peak power or torque (curve area per displacement). I think in street division the rpm limit is 6500. 2nd place was a GenI Hemi making 607 hp from 385 inches (that's right a '50s era based engine).

In 2011 a Cleveland Ford won, making 686 hp from 435 cu.in. The 2nd place engine was an LSx Chevy making 593 hp from 334 inches.

In 2010 a GenIII Hemi won (700 hp from 417 inches). This engine had the best area under the curve for it's displacement but also had the most peak hp of all engines including some 430 inchish Cleveland Fords, BBCs, SBCs and LSx's.

I think the best GenIII Hemi head (6.1/6.4) will flow with the best LSx heads (LS7) either unported or ported. Anyone who thinks the LSx is in a different league than the GenIII Hemi has no clue what they are talking about.

Terrible times. Here is a 13.3 run link after a quick search: http://www.chargerforumz.com/showthr...t=93285&page=7

post #62. Im sure high 12's may be possible with the right driver and conditions. Also, the charger has a 5-speed auto, not a 6-speed.

The new srt8s move for their size....mid 12s. The awd rts are low 13s and rwd are mid 13s. If tuning gets announced at sema there will be a lot of them in the high 12s. Right now my mopar 11 is around 13 flat...but that is due to the factory 3.91s.

An 08-10 SRT8 Challenger weighs 4140 with sunroof, kicker and automatic. With a manual, no sunroof or Kicker they weigh 4040'ish. At least mine did stock. But it only weighs 3600 now and still has full interior, roll cage, ac, nav, etc.

The 11-12's SRT8's picked up a few pounds and tips the scales at a bit over 4200#'s depending on options.

Anyhow, OP should have no problem with the 300C. Just dont get caught at the light because those are very easy to launch.
