Thread should be re-titled "Braggadocio".

This is the kind of in-fighting and testosterone laced bragging that one usually has to go to the Mustang forums to find.

It's a polarizing topic that's wider than just the range of US domestic ponycar forums. Trust me on this.

You Guys are KRAZY but yes a stick all the way ray I have a custom show truck 2002 Chevy Silverado Sport side Regular cab. Completely customized From the V-6 super charged engine to the custom leather interior and the custom oak bed and right out of the factory with a 5 speed and I installed an old school Hurst shift kit. So when I ordered my 2013 Camaro Dusk Edition you know The Hurst shifter on a six speed was the way to go and the factory installed true duel high performance exhaust system and brother is this sound sweet cant wait to install the Headers and cold air intake. I wish my 1999 Blazer had a Hurst shifter Pictures of all to follow as I am still new to the site. And I want to wish all from Camaro 5 A healthy and happy holiday season , and please enjoy Thanksgiving and drive saftley as the roads tonight could be over crowed and full of Cheer filled drivers!!!!!! Drove sticks for 30 years. Decided to try the easy way. I will go back to a stick when I get a new Mustang convertible next year. Auto is ok, but not as much fun as a stick, even if the stick is more expensive in the long run. ( clutch repairs and adjustments)

Yeah, I know, and I often get sucked in if for no other reason than to poke some fun. I can't seem to help myself.

Absolutely! Just kidding before you guys flame me! Seriously, I couldn't see spending an extra $1195.00 and ending up with 26 LESS horsepower, a V8 that turns into a V4 and an exhaust system so quiet that you can't hear it run. The whole AFM thing seems like a bucket of worms to me. There seems to be lots of lifter and oil consumption issues. It seems like the first thing everybody wants to do to their L99, is swap out the exhaust. The next thing they want to do is, turn off the AFM to get rid of the drone. Then they're faced with the dilemma of voiding the warranty on the engine that probably needs it the most. It seems simpler to just push a clutch pedal to me.

I'm well served by the fact that I'm not poser enough to care what people think about me. I also have nothing that I feel insecure about and therefore have nothing I need to compensate for.

I'm living the dream.

I had an Automatic V6 for 2 years, just traded it in yesterday when I picked up my new 1LE. I had it easy for 2 years, now it's time for some fun.

Its a commuter/pleasure vehicle for me and I admit the only manuals ive ever driven was an MG midget for about 20 mins and a cushman turn rider at the golf course for an entire summer...never something that was actually worth any money. I liked it, but would I want a stick daily and have to really think when I smoke someone? Nah....so when I saw this car used with 1100 miles and its black and happened to be an auto, i was sold. When you have this much HP, who cares.

I have always been lousy with paddles...never could get the hang of my cousins paddle ball toy when I was a kid, and I sucked at ping pong. Just kept missing the ball with my paddle so I have no reason to believe I could be any good shifting a transmission with a paddle...and like I said before my fingers just get tired to easily.
