I left my previous daily driver ('05 Silverado) box stock. The only two mods added were given to me as gifts (factory fog lights, cowl hood). I upgraded just the speakers when the factory ones started to die. I just didn't have a real desire to mod that particular truck.
My Camaro however, read my sig. It has received several tasteful and functional mods. So far I've only been doing things that improve performance or protect some part or function of the car. Every last stock part, nut, screw, etc is boxed up and stored, including the original mufflers.

I look at it like this.... If you got the money to spend and responsible with your money... Why not make the car to your likings....
Now if your still paying a note... Then no, I wouldn't mod mine...I'd pay the car off first... If you owe 500k on a house that's worth 300k... Then no, I wouldn't mod my car.. Id put the extra cash on my house....If my savings account had 1000k in it... No I wouldn't mod my car... I'd save up more money first.... You always need to have Money saved for a rainy day... You have to be smart with your money... Keep finances in line... But at the same time, enjoy it... Don't have 10k worth of mods and 100 bucks in the bank.... |

I don't know if it's even possible to keep your baby away from the mod-maddness if you lurk around these forums long enough asking those kinds of questions.
I was once like you--kept my last car, an M3, stock for all of the ten years I owned her. I had no intentions of modding my SS. That was before I found Camaro5.com...that is when my world began to change...*** It starts when you learn about saving your engine from deposits with an oil catch can or how to get relief from being told how to drive your car with a skip shift eliminator. You begin to feel a tingly sensation. After dealing with the many friendly and enthusiastic enablers (modders) and dealers (vendors) on this forum, you get the warm and fuzzies and that tingly sensation begins to grow. And when you realize how easy it is to do many of the mods yourself your willpower begins to cave. And God forbid you savor the taste of an upgrade in power, that tingly sensation up and kicks you in the nuts and makes you open your wallet for temporary relief with another fix! My name is Sonoma...and I am becoming a mod-junkie. If you don't want to become like me leave this forum and never look back.

I just picked my 2013 1LS and it is totally stock right now and I will likely keep it that way even down to the six speed shifter and stock steel rims. I do plan on doing a track day (road course) in the future...

All stock here as well except for tinted windows. I'm also waiting for my warranty to expire before I try anything and saving money as well on the side for mods. But I do think I may go for the 1LE splitter and that's just about it. I know how it feels to have the mod bug and it drives me crazy.
