All those saying the z28 will definately be the LS7, think about this, the LS7 is actually on its way out, wouldn't it be more logical to make the Z28 with the LT1 from the C7? 450 HP would slot right in between the SS/1LE and the ZL1...just saying the Z28 should be the 1LE with the LT1.

If you wanted all this you should have bought the model that had it

Just saying - if they made everything that was nice base - they'd only be selling ZL1's...
I agree. Personally I like the steelie wheels almost as much as I like the 1LE wheels. A Victory Red LS with white rally stripes and the black steelies is the perfect daily driver in my opinion.

I disagree. Only giving a Z28 a 24HP gain will not be an attractive option to justify what would likely be a 50K+ car.

Now your assuming again, who says it will have to be $50K? Your getting into ZL1 territory then.
They made the 1Le with ZERO horsepower gain and people are buying them....

The ZL1 is upper 50's and a lower price would be 1LE territory. A Z28 would be very close to 50K given the price structure of the Camaro's, that is why it will not work unless it’s an LS7.

An LT1 would be better in a 1LE and just raise the cost a grand or 2.

If somebody on here knew the answer to that you wouldn't have to ask that question. You would see it plastered all over this site and across the internet. There would also be many people jumping for joy and most likely parades in all major US cities.

According to Chevys website you can get a SS with the 1LE package for around $37,000. So why does the Z28 have to cost $50K? Could it not be another option package like the 1LE and be priced just above the 1LE package? That could potentially open it up to a lot more buyers..

It would be nice to have a remote (button) operated fuel door. I just got my locking fuel cap for $24 that can be keyed to the ignition key. Will be setting the tumblers tonight.
I would rather they make the gas door like the one on my VUE, it locks when you lock the doors and unlocks when the car is unlocked. That would be a pretty simple fix...

If the LT1 is put in a 5Gen Camaro it will replace all LS3's. the Z28 has to be different power wise than a base V8 model.

If the LT1 was put in a Z28 it would not be a $50K car.

I think its funny that there was a 45th anniversary camaro and that people want a 50th anniversary.

Excited to see what the refresh brings. Personally I think the current design is getting a little stale so im excited to see the tweaks

I also think that its ironic how that works. A Z28 needs a high revving small block to be the track star it was back in the 60s. yet it had less power than a SS396. Now the only way it will work is to have more power than a SS.

If anything the base Camaro should be a little more aggressive looking.
