Given that the active ingredient in all the class of product are going to be based in the same chemistry it makes sense. Now the challenge would be determining what the exact TYPE of wheel weight or wheel weight coating that it reacts with is. My gut was to guess lead, but I thought it wasn't used in wheel weights anymore due to the obvious health issues that it could be associated with. Lead being soft, it seems it would react easily with the cleaner, and maybe produce a weird result like this. EDIT: I'm calling the local tire places to see if I can buy a few wheel weights, we're going to drop them in DWC and let them sit for a couple hours and see what happens. I'll keep you posted. Interesting, who did your tires? I'm guessing that it is just a difference in the type of weight then, glad to see Dylan is all over this.

Have been using it with no issues with discoloration (but nice and clean wheels) since it was first shipped just recently. Have used it total of 5 times. On the Camaro it has a 3 combo finish(Chrome,Machined and clearcoated/painted) and had been VERY hesitant to use anything but shampoo and water on them until trying this stuff out.
Imho Believe the greenish tint may be a reaction with the zinc content in the wheel weight that some companies have switched to. Lead I believe is still being used in wheel weights. Just my 1 cent opinion.

I will agree that this stuff doesn't smell great, kind of like cherry cough syrup, but I find that Sonax smells terrible and lingers for days! (I do all of my washing in the garage)

Lead wheel weights are being phased out for steel. Problem with steel is they rust. Solution is coated wheel weights. But expensive so many shops stick with uncoated. This maybe e issue with camarodreams car. One wheel may have a different material or different coating. May be cheap Chinese weights too

CD07 - the answer to your problem is obviously to paint your car Synergy Green to match your new wheel weights . . .

WOW, your unreal!! Not worth my time responding in the future. Any feedback from you isn't worth $#!t. IMO... When you bash others experiences with certain products and processes due to your opinion, you lose credibility. When you try the products in the same manner, then you can bash away!! Sorry this guy ruined your review CD07. Great review!!! Last edited by David79z28; 03-27-2013 at 12:03 PM. |
