Wheel Hub Centric Rings are designed to fill in the gap between the hub of the car and the center bore of the wheel. Most wheel manufacturers design their wheels with a centerbore large enough to fit on most cars. Therefore, since wheel manufactures make their center bore large enough to fit most cars, most wheel fitments have a gap between the hub and the centerbore. This gap usually doesn't allow for the wheel to fit hubcentric but rather lugcentric which causes vibration. Therefore, to fill the gap and ensure the fitment is hubcentric, hub rings are used.

I kinda don't understand that lol. Should i go about having them put on? Can i do it myself? Are they absolutely essential?

I just did. For $65, what is there to lose? I'm going to save more money and get them coated but there's no way I'm passing up a deal like this haha

they are used if there is vibration. it's not needed. if you don't hear or feel any vibration, then you don't need them. I would think that if the shop didn't put them on, you are ok. but hold on to them.

they are not stainless steal. that's about it. performance is probably up there with the rest of them. I think it's a great stop-gap for $65, until I can afford the BBK's I want.

i wonder how much it would change things such as performance and sound? I have flowmaster super 40 series exhaust right now and I just dont want it to sound like a pissed off bummblebee. lol

I am worried about changing the sound myself but the guy doesn't like my exhaust anyway.

well, you'd lose your catalytic converters, so it would get louder. that's for sure. never heard the flowmasters in person before. we have the mrt v2. So we'll see how it sounds. as for performance, I don't see why there wouldn't be a 25-35hp gain.
