When I go to the website it does not list White or Cyber Gray as dealer installed:

Ok I figured it out it is because you ordered a 1SS.

You have to order a 2SS to get factory white or CG stripes

OP, your definition of "slight difference in color" is very generous. That's not even close to being the same color.

The order I placed was 3 months ago. It has changed since then. I wish they were ALL put on at the factory ! Good post.

B7W=Factory installed CGM stripes.
VYY=Dealer installed CGM stripes.

B7X=Factory installed White stripes
VYZ=Dealer installed White stripes.

All others are Dealer installed. Look carefully at the ordering info that the dealer uses when placing your order. Also check your website again. CGM and White do not have (dealer installed option) next to it.

After looking at my stripes it appears your right stripe is close, if not exact an exact match, to the stripes delivered (installed at dealer) with my car. The one on the left looks like an entirely different stripe. My dealer had a third party install the stripe and I watched him do it. This guy knew what he was doing and applied it in about 45 minutes. When it was done it looked perfect. When I took it home and measured it to micrometer perfection there wasn't any difference from side-to-side and they were identically spaced from the middle of the hood. That is just a poor job.

I placed my order 9 months ago... been the same way since day one I am afraid.

I originally wanted the white factory installed, but thought it would be too busy with the IO interior.

Not all white are factory, may be the case with gray also. I know my white ones are dealer installed, since my car just got to the dealer a couple of days ago and does not have the stripes... (which brought me to this section)

All strips are installed at the factory (or by one service) before they arrive at the dealer now. Unless they changed that again.

I got lucky.

Mine are perfect. Really I think those with crap install stripes come from dealers that try to cut corners to make extra $$$

My salesman said that after the car arrived I would have to wait an extra 3-4 days until the GM accessory installers showed up to install stripes.

Perhaps that was "Joe Blow's auto customizers" I dunno.

But no complaints.

yeah those fingerprints are probably mine, i was picking my nose and smudged it on a cgm bound for toronto, word is the owner has a gimp leg so i know he wouldent be coming to kick my ass!
