With $10K down a good dealership will do everything they can do to satisfy you as a customer. A good dealer would have fixed the windshield before putting it on the lot for sale, let alone let you drive it.

Talk around and do business with a good dealer.

I would just give them a bad word of mouth ...... anyway even at that rate, you are still paying more over what it should be .....

They are who I bought my 2010 2SS from, and after totaling it I actually made money on the car. They are Great but I figured this would be quick, and easy since I was getting a much cheaper car with more money down.

My Dad died last year of prostate cancer... Dick.

I'm not just some 21 year old A**Hole. I have my shit together, and knew what I was doing. I was just trying to be understanding that they need to make money.

I'm obviously going to go to another dealer. At this point I'm just trying to figure out how hard it will be to back out of the deal. Without screwing up my Financial History.

What do you mean? I thought they tore up the first agreement and you haven't signed the second yet....

If that's so theres no financial issues to screw up, other than them making a score check...and no deal to back out of, tell them no thanks, get your deposit back and go elsewhere..some places wont finance someone who has multiple score checks on the record in a month...but nothing permanent...

unless you did sign the second agreement that is.....

OP: Don't sell yourself short because of your age. It shouldn't matter. If your credit is good, it's good, whether you have a down payment or not. Some finance offers, however, are "subject to credit approval."

If there's no signed sales contract, then there is no "binding agreement" unless you signed some type of "IOU" (there's a legal term for it in car sales jargon).

If I were in a similar situation, I'd consider the following:

1. Arrange for your own financing through the Bank or Credit Union you do business with and where your paychecks are deposited. You've purchased a car before, so you know they may offer you a .25% off if you do a "direct withdrawl / payment" from your account to the loan account.

2. Be certain, before you've signed a sales contract, they write out a "We Owe You" document stating the items they need to repair, replace and / or add to the vehicle (accessories) as agreed to in the sales contract. If it's not "stock" on the car, and unless it's listed on the sales contract, it doesn't exist. They'd add the cost of accessories to the cost of the car at the time of your purchase, if they're not in stock or the parts dept. is closed or the mechanics have already gone home when you purchase the vehicle, they need to state that they will repair / replace or add these items.

3. Once you've agreed to the terms of the contract and you sign it (with your own choice of financing already arranged and approved) and you're in the dealer's finance office, you can always inquire about financing they can arrange - that doesn't mean you have to accept it once you inquire about it, but if they're able to arrange for better terms than your own bank's, you have a choice (just be certain their finance person guarantees that rate for the term and it's on paper).

At this point, I'd let them keep the car and look for another dealer to purchase from. There are plenty out there willing to divest themselves of 2013 inventory and if you're looking at an end-of-model-year-deal, they're out there. Get all of the "perks" you can.

BTW, check the GM credit union discount site for available discounts if you're a Credit Union member. https://www.mygmdiscount.com/ip-vpp/ . You'll need to register, but it's worth an extra $500+ off (don't let anyone tell you it can't be used with any other offer - it can).

If you're a recent college grad, inquire about special financing for recent college grads (I believe you have to have graduated within the last 2 years or will graduate within the next semester). https://www.gmcollegediscount.com/ip-vpp/

If you're insured through USAA, that should be good for an additional $750 off.

Just some thoughts and guidance. As mentioned, don't sell yourself short because of your age. Your money spends as well, if not better, than most everyone else's.

BTW, if you haven't signed anything, your financial history won't sustain any negative marks (even if they "loaned" you the car, you'd still have to have signed some type of agreement). So, don't worry about it.

Good luck and keep us posted on your new Camaro purchase!

I don't think he is. I think some people are being dickheads because of his age.

Can I just say I love how every Chevy dealer swears there's no inherent flaw with camaro windshields but all u hear about is how they're broken. Mine broke within 2 months of buying it, a neighbors SS vert had a broken windshield when purchased, yours was broken. Aside from the financing I think the windshields of camaros are ridiculous.

I would say go to another Chevy dealer and tell them what's goin on if anyone will know a way out of a contract it's another dealer and with an opportunity to make money on you I'm sure they'd be able to find the way out if there is one.
