I use the 10/30 vr1 now. ZDDP is what mobile 1 is missing. It films to protect your metal on metal parts. It also ruins cats over time. Switch to one of the oils you mentioned. I like the vr1 because i can get it at o'reillys.

And the 50 weight should only be used if your builder recommends it. It's for forged parts and looser clearance motors.

I just read the specs on the VR1 and it looks like the way i'm going. This is on the top of the lists as it is also listed as a recomonded oil for motors running alcohol so it must be a great lubicant for extreme conditions.

Thanks for the help!

Gibbs, vr1, amsoil Zrod are all good oils and use the 10/30 synthetic.

The new motor has the link that I posted a few spots back.

I don't mind spending the $$$$, I'm just trying to learn why a rod can be double the price. What do you get for the extra cost?
These Eagle rods are the ones I run and weight a few grams less.
6.125 part# CRS6125O3D2000 620g H-Beam 2.100 0.927 1100hp rated.

Those Callie's are actually billet and are I beams instead of hbeams and weigh 662 g
Hope they can price match lol

So I'm assuming billet is much stronger? I know Ted isn't putting junk in my short block because he'll be the one having to deal with it. The descriptions don't offer much help for those with little knowledge on the subject.

I never price match with Ted. He more than takes care of me. He has a business to run and he needs to make money. That's how it has to be.

I can't tell you how many times I've yelled at Matt for giving shit away!!!
