Vinyl Stripes Bubbling ... Is this considered normal? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I spoke to my dealer and at first requested not to have the stripes put on as I was unsure of my colour combination, but after some thought decided to go with it. My car still hasn't arrived, but the dealer warned me that there will be some initial bubbling when they install the stripes. He said that this goes away with a bit of time. Is any of this true. Speaking with buddies, they said that this isn't normal and that I should get it done at a outside shop.

What's your guys opinion on this???

Mine came from the factory, done by their vendor. They are beautiful and no bubbles.

Tell your dealer if they can't do it without bubbles don't do it. he's full of S***

air bubles trapped under the vinyl do not go away, they need to get them out during installation.

The stripe guy who did mine at the dealership said I may see small bubbles if I looked hard but they would go away in a few days. I never saw anything..he was an experienced installer and knew what he was talking about.

I wouldn't worry about it...
