Haha fair enough. If I still had my '76 it would still be out and about.

I'm still thumping around in my 67 (on the nice days) -had to test out my change of oil brands, switched to Joe Gibbs. Its not put away yet since I was hoping to been auto-x'ing the 67 at Goodguys (Scottsdale) this weekend, but issues at work kept me home.

Karl Performance just got in my new DSS CF driveshaft this week. Still waiting on the return of my axles yet.

Until yesterday I have been driving my 77 Camaro daily, but that is because my truck has been in the body shop having rust repair done to the rocker panels. This weekend I need to remove many leaves and other debris from the wiper area and rear window. I will then be tucking the car away for winter.

Parts removed for hydro-dipping

Iv'e got my front end ready to remove the bumber so I can remove the lower splitter and send it to Fastlane (H2O Printers) to be hydro-dipped. Also removed my lower side skirts to be hydro=dipped. Fastlane is currently doing my rear lower valance right now and should be done late next week. I will of course take some pics when it arrives. I'm going to do some of my interior parts myself. I ordered the carbon fiber (mydipkit) and it looks really good on some test pieces I did. I also ordered some LED lights to install on the inside of my door handles to come on with the dome lights, I'll take pics of that also.

So a buddy that sell/brokers performance cars here in IC, a mutual friend of ours that has a sizable car collection.... some Vipers, older various stuff, and Vettes, was called on a ZL1 Camaro buy in. I was then called (since I'm a Camaro guy) on what I would think. Like I'm an expert on this ...LOL

Since he has a stable of Vette's, the Natl' Corvette museum calling various members on a unique offer for funding the Corvette Museum. "Said" he was offered a chance to buy 1 of 4 (maybe all 4 ...lol) of the only IBM color ZL1's Chevy made. The "said" price is $70000 but would get a $35000 tax credit.

What say your thoughts, fellow Camaro friends?

Maybe if I threw my car into the batch and take one of the ZL1 for myself he wouldn't notice.

Tim, there were a total of 4 IBM ZL1's built, both were show and press cats. The Corvette museum auctioned one off last year to a guy on the East Coast and GM held the other thr ee possible sale. I can confirm this with Scott if your buddy is really interested. Be a pretty cool car to own if indeed it is only one of four ever built. In essence he would be buying it for $35k. Not bad.

He passed on the offer, he thinks the value as a "collector car" won't be there. It is a creative deal though
