Not sure cuz but faster than a 9.9 would need to be a 10 point cage and most likely a harness.

If you are referring to last years changes, they only apply to NHRA Street Legal events. I know it's stupid. But at my NHRA track, Kansas International Dragway, tech already gave me crap about not having a cage after seeing the sc on the car.
This rule also only applies to unaltered 2008 and newer OEM.

That's ridiculous. I understand. That's why I'm getting a 6 point for the fest!

You'll get a vibration so use a rubber bushing on the Trans.
I agree on the poly trans mount. Holy crap, the car vibrated like crazy. It was driving us nuts. We put the rubber one back in and no vibrations!

EDIT: NVM ya'll beat me to it before I posted/refreshed.

From what I understand that is only for a specific class and OEM cars straight from the manufacture.
I'd rather have the cage for safety.

You can certify an 8 point cage for 8.50's in these cars. Ject and Tornado SS, the GTO cages we have been doing are 8.50 cert cages.
It's 8.50 to 9.99, slower then that and then just your average 6 point roll bar will do.

I would love to get told "your car is too fast to make anymore passes here without a cage.". Our local redneck fest just wants a helmet.

Did you see how totaled his car was? I would have been baffled if someone had survived.
