Camaro Quit Reading Text Messages? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

When I first got my 2014 it would read the Text Messages from my phone. It has since quit and I cannot find how to get it turned back on. The book says to go to the messages app in the mylink but the app is not there. Does anyone know how to fix this so it will start reading my Text Messages again?

Mine has done this on occasion as well. Best way I've found to fix it is to turn off bluetooth on the phone and then turn it back on. Then have someone text you.

I got it working again, I cleared all bluetooth devices out of the car's list and repaired the device and it works again. Thanks for the help.

Yes, it will at least with my phone, Galaxy S2. I really like it, I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

No, at least not when the car is moving. It will just read it to you. I am not sure what it will do when it is in park.

so i lost my manuals i am pretty sure and just got a new phone (retired the 6 year old phone without bluetooth or any features ha), any quick hitns on how to set up my galaxy s4 to the car for all of these features and whatnot

I know with the iPhone you have to make sure in your iPhone "notifications" is set to on for the text messages to pop on your screen to press the button to hear/read them.

sry it's a feature that comes with the touchscreen, nothing saying you can't put a touchscreen in though.
