CAI Silicone Tube Fitment Issue
Trying to install my intake from CAI. The end of the silicone tube that fits over the MAF housing appears to be far too large. Even tightening the clamp is not enough to seal the tube over the MAF Housing. I have the flanged end of the silicone tube attached to the throttle body as the instructions say. Anyone have this issue during their install?
Edit: Problem was with the clamp. All good now. Edit: Managed to get clip to force seal the tube (i think), but the oil breather tube touches a pulley unless turned horizontally. Last edited by Drew P; 01-04-2014 at 10:21 PM. |

CAI called me and said they accidentally included the prototype tube in my order - reason it doesn't fit right. They said they would ship a new tube, although I am still waiting for it.

Thanks for the update! I was able to "adapt" the current tube enough to put the car back on the dyno. Picked up approx. 25rwhp across the curve and +2lbs (granted it was 35 degrees that day and its normally in the 80s around here - so not sure how much is temp related). MAF readings were still spot on. Just pulled some timing due to increased boost. Great product!
