This stuff slays me... but I love it. I've gone from a "pure stock, never gonna change it" state of mind, to "been dyno'd, magnaflow'd and gettin' downpiped on Thursday." I love the car more now than ever too.

PS - one of my Baby's showing's is featured on the Texas Motor Speedway's YouTube Channel right now too! Don't think that'd be happening had I not shifted my way of thinking.

How bout sharing? It can't be all that difficult. Really. It's a throttle, and a brake. Right?

When is the F-body thing. I'm almost sure I can't make it. Bonnie won't switch unless there is a contest for her. She uses it for motivation.

And, yes, I know we can make up a contest but it won't fly.

If I share what are you sharing?? Just kidding bro..and there is nothing wrong with made up contest..lol..seriously though its throttle control and you just have to feel it..I know that sounds vague but you have to feel it..you have to get your car prepped.(tire pressure, how much gas is in the tank at the time of your run, a bunch of little things) but you have to feel it and know your car by throttle control..when to roll on and then when to get into WOT. You can actually control your shifts with throttle control...i hate to keep saying it put you just have to feel it

Just talked to a racing freind of mine. Do you know a guy named John Rhodes? Not a pro but been drag racing all his life. He was just now saying the same thing as you. He's talking about cooling the motor down before I run and stuff like that. He said that he deals in hundredths of a second and how he can 'feel' if he'll have 75 hundredths of a second off. WTF? I don't want my front wheels leaving the ground. He can have that.

But he did agree that I should be able to just punch it and if the wheels hook up good I shouldn't be a full second slow. I don't have time to get into racing. Even just a little. I just want my frekin' car to beat a stock Mustang GT when I want to.

I don't know him..but it's a science. Every little motion that is wasted takes time..whether it's positioning your hands on the steering wheel..your foot placement on the throttle and the brake...everything can be minimized for a quicker time..

If I don't bite the bullet and go with LPE,

I'm starting to think MTI or Vengance (also in the ATL area) will do the engine work on my ride.

One thing IP, never run your car back to back to back. Always let it cool down some to get the most out of it. Also, when running your car, the 60ft is the most important thing. Getting a feel as they say for your car is important. Once you get that feel, you will know how to launch it to get the most out of it. Once you get that down, you can get your 60ft better which will equate to better times overall.

Not sure if you still have issues with your auto though..I had followed your story, but now I just read this last page. But even if you get a tune and upgrades the same will apply. You will now need to learn your car again with the added power and adjust.

Good luck with it.
