I kept my resonator and am very happy I did.

Mods:
SP 1 7/8" LT headers
HF Cats
Stock Resonator
SOLO Axleback with J pipes

(Night fury Cam)

Even before the cam my car sounded great and had the perfect volume inside and out. Once you get headers you will want something to cut down on volume, resonator or muffler. Cats will cut down on rasp too.

I used the Range AFM disabler after I put in the headers, but before I got my tune.

Well residency in a year and a half but I've made good progress on the car so far - I expect the stroker to go in in a couple years

Kaltech is the cheapest i've seen online ($1025). They're all around $1100 though. Not sure if a trusted shop could get you a better deal. Finding one used then rebuilt would probably be cheaper. You could check with Rhino to see if he can hook you up.

There's a PI vigilante triple disk in the forsale section right now for $850. Not sure if that's an viable option for you.

Supercharged SS is selling his tranny right now too. Not sure of the TC he's got or if he'd even part with it separately from the tranny. Worth a shot though.

I couldn't really answer that question for you. I do know that road racers like to stay away from anything above .600 lift. I don't think you would have an issue if you do occasional road racing, but someone else may be able to chime in.

With all respect to Lethal Racing, I just didn't want to fall in line with everyone else on the forums who goes with JRE or NF cams. I know they are both proven to make good power (well, Lethal Racing is atleast. Can't say the same for JRE), but I wanted something with great driveability, that has proven to make the same power as the popular cams on the forums. A lot of people will argue till they are blue in the face about driveability, but a buddy in my car club has the NF cam, and it wasn't his Daily driver, so he couldn't convince me to get that cam based on the fact that it wasn't his only car.

The 545 cam makes the same numbers as the other popular cams, the torque may be lower, but I'm not looking to break any records or be the fastest at the strip. My car dyno'd at 405, and ended up with 498. Granted, some of that is in the heads, but I still almost made it to 500 just like the other big name cams do with headwork.

I'm glad I went with the 545 cam, and even though it's not the popular pick on the forums, if you go on their FB site, and YouTube, they sell just as many 545's as other people sell their trademark cam.

Talk to Kelly@PCM of NC, she's up here and can show you countless videos of the cam in various setups. Once again, it just depends on what you're looking for in a cam. IMO, you can't go wrong between a Pat G/Brian Tooley/Night Fury/545 cam.

I know OrangeCrush1LE or something along those lines is running a Synergy cam for Road Racing. I believe he is roughly 480/450 with cam and bolt on's no head work. Look for his thread.

Here's the thread... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321397
