I don't see GM doing that anytime soon. OHC engines are not all the buzz that people think they are. Its just a bunch of idiots who know nothing about cars or engines that think OHC is some kind of new technology. But if Chevy were to go OHC on the V8s, they would still totally destroy Ford.

I bet there's a decent Mescan joint in Houston and probably a few bait shops as well.

I can give you suggestions in Little Rock...and some directions when you get ready for it. My favorite steak places in central AR are right here in Conway though...likewise my favorite Italian is here for this area as well.
Both local family owned type places. Mike's Place for steaks and cajun types and Pasta Grill for Italian and a bonus, their prime rib is epic.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next

Hey T, do you have Pedders XA's on your car? I'm trying to raise the ride height in the rear by 10mm and I can't get the driver's side shaft to unscrew out of the base of the XA. I got the passenger side no problem. Any ideas? Should I heat it up? I tried PB Blaster but it still won't budge!

Yea, I do.

You have the top two nuts locked together and the bottom one loosened then you should be able to crank on the top nuts to raise it. They move the whole unit up and down.

The only thing I can think is maybe the cold is an issue? Maybe heat it up a little but be careful as the inner unit is plastic as you are aware.

Another thought is disconnect it from the LCA and try spinning the base loose.

If that doesn't work call Matt in the morning @ FSP. HE probably has an idea or two.

T.

PS. Better half says you should be watching The Millers. She is in rare form right now.

Utah ape predicts Seahawks will win Super Bowl

Quote:
Superbowl pick 2014
Watch Eli make his selection for the Superbowl this year!
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Utah ape that has correctly picked the Super Bowl winner for six straight years predicted Thursday that the Seattle Seahawks will be the next NFL champion.
Eli the ape ran into an enclosure Thursday morning and swiftly knocked down a papier-mache helmet bearing the Seahawks logo, signaling his pick, said Erica Hansen of Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City.
"He made his pick without any hesitation," Hansen said.
That could mean bad news for Broncos fans. The 13-year-old primate hasn't been wrong since 2006.
Last year, Eli charged out and knocked over a papier-mache goal post decorated with the Ravens logo. Sure enough, the Ravens beat the 49ers 34-31.
Eli's pick this year drew mixed reactions from his team of zookeepers that include avid Broncos fans.
"They are hoping that this is his first wrong year," Hansen said.
After he made his prognostication, Eli was joined by his mate, Eve, and daughter, Acara, and allowed to smash, play and eat the papier-mache helmets.
Hansen said interest and excitement about Eli's Super Bowl pick has increased as his streak grows. This year, people have been asking daily when he's making his pick.
"He's better than the Vegas odds-makers," Hansen said.

Man, not even I can make this $hit up.

Hey T, we'll see about that! I hope he's wrong! Oh, I got my XA to break free so I could adjust it! Lots of penetrating oil and warmed up with a heater blowing on it!

Good Deal.

Now you will want to clean out those threads with a toothbrush so it does not happen again. Also make sure you are at least 660MM from the bottom lip of your rim to the fender so you do not have suspension geometry issues. That is a JP tip btw.

You must be feeling better T. Good to see you back.

I spent some quality time with the car today. I should have everything back together by lunchtime tomorrow. Ice and snow outside anyways... perfect time to tear the car apart.

Heat those ferrules until the rubber crackles then knock them out with a hammer.
