The first day I drove my 1LE to work, this guy that has a Black Mustang GT (2010 4.6l) Asked if the SS was mine I told him "Yeah, picked it up yesterday after work". He then told me "I'm pretty sure I can beat it". So I asked "What do you have done to it?" and he answered "Nothing yet".....I giggled and said "How about you come AutoX with me?" He says "I did that once, its stupid" As I walked away I told him "That's because Mustangs suck at it, get a car that can turn and it will be fun"

And some people can only stab the gas and go in straight line... Put a curve in front of them and they get confused.

Don't get me wrong, I used to drag race a lot a few years ago with a 2000 WS6 and there is a lot of tech and skill involved, just a different kind. I raced with a
M6, wasn't easy...

Mainly it's the guys that make the comments like you said auto crossing was stupid. I tried drag racing in my younger days, even won my class a few times and then got bored with it, it just didn't hold my attention like road racing does. Life kind of got in the way, now I no longer have the money or reflexes for either.

I didn't get bored with it, just too much money and your car ends up not being fun anymore and turns into a chore. Being addicted to getting one more tenth of a sec at any cost gets old....not to mention breaking stuff...dang....

AutoX is just pure fun and I don't have to go totally nuts with my car to enjoy it
