Use a professional rim cleaner, such as Black Magic, then rinse. Then add a polish or a wax.
That's it, it is really that simple

Yes I did, use a professional rim cleaner to get a professional rim job.

Seriously, use a good rim/wheel cleaner, then rinse, then use a high grade polish, then a wax. That's it

My rims are black on my camaro so I dont know about that, but I have a Harley that I use sheen genie on that I got from a bike show and everyone compliments and asks how my rims are so shiny. The selling point was the keg of beer he polished to look like chrome. Then he demo'd the bottom of coke can that also looked like chrome in about 2 minutes. I use it on the chrome on my 2010 Z71 Silverado and all chrome on my bike

Just to clarify, you do not want to use a mag/aluminum polish. That wheel polish is used for aluminum wheels that are not clear coated. The factory rims are clear coated, so you will want to use polishes and waxes the same as you would use on the painted finish of the body of the car.

Any car paint wax will work too, the only difference is, there is more heat in that area. I just bought the Mothers power cone and used some bees wax. I got a bit froggy and used a mini buffer with a tad bit of micro finishing compound to take out a minor scratch, then waxed and buffed it out.
