Installed it this morning easy install and took less than 1 hour. I have a question however. I tried using soapy water and a heat gun but this is as far as I could get the braided lines on. The clamps have grabbed the tube and are solid but it just seems like it should go all the way back.

Leave both lines unattached at the catch can itself. Then you need to have access to a really large diameter Phillips head screwdriver same size or larger than the nipple on the intake, insert it inside the braided line with the soapy water already sprayed inside the tubing and spin it around to increase the inside diameter. The clamps need to be loose to the point they spin around by hand but are on the line itself. Then move the clamp out of the way and twist or spin the tubing around with pressure to get it over the ridge and onto the nipple. |

Thanks! I will disconnect and give that a try. I was unsure if applying soapy water further in the hose was a smart idea.

Does the APEX APX9502 include both lines or do I need to order QTY: 2 for the inlet and return?

It's only soapy water, and won't hurt anything. You don't need a lot just enough to wet the ID of the hose. It will dry out as soon as you start the car and run it. It's not going to "hydraulic" the engine if that is what you are thinking? I have seen old school guys dump transmission fluid thru a carburetor to free up a sticking valve to quiet it. |

I'm getting mine soon, it on order. What I do if the lines are really tight is spray WD-40 into the line and then push it on. Try that, might work better than soap and water and will not hurt anything.

Chase,
Any elaboration on how to install the catch can with dual outlets on the ZL1? I'm not sure if I should order the single or dual can. Install for the single looks very easy but not sure of the dual. |

A dual outlet install is not required on a ZL1 but if you choose to go that route it hooks up exactly the same way as the single outlet but with the addition of the second outlet being hooked up to your intake elbow. You have to drill a hole in your intake elbow and insert a barb for the hose to connect to. We include the extra fittings for the catch can but we do not supply a fitting for the intake elbow.

Finally, Finally received my oil catch can yesterday after ordering it on January 16, 2014. So nice to know that the first ones to order it got last!!!!!
Hope the performance of the product is better than the delivery time. |
