14' Heritage & Z/28 grill.

A few questions to those who may know.

From my understanding the two are different.
Can someone tell me if the bow tie can be removed on both of them?

Is the Z/28 grill going to be all Matte Blk with out the painted portion that comes on the Heritage grill?

Will both grills work on th RS (chrome strip) package?

Thanks guys!

Good question. I'm thinking of ordering this for my self. AGM surround for my black 1LE, and I wanna get the flow tie emblem. I think it will work just fine on an RS...

I ordered a black Heritage grille thinking it came with a "Flowtie" so I went to the dealer to pick it up. It comes with the painted grille and a regular gold bowtie with a plastic backing and torx screws.

You can install the emblem if you choose. If not, it's just a honeycomb grille.

So, yes, you can remove the bowtie and backing plate.

I ended up not buying the grille. I think $350 is too much for a painted grille and no flowtie.

I'm hoping the Z/28 grille comes in the standard textured finish for much less money.

The z/28 grille is painted gloss black. the only difference between the z/28 grille and the black-painted heritage grill package is the "flow tie" and the badge. We are going with the "NO-tie" why compromise airflow at all?

Thanks for the replies guys.
I plan on removing the bow tie all together. I wanted to make sure there would be no evidence of it once removed.
I would like to be able to add a 1LE emblem to it like the Z/28.

Well damn. I was hoping for a much cheaper Z/28 grille that was textured and was supposed to be part number 23197349
